A Note About Our Host Hotel
We know that many have had concerns regarding our Host Hotel, the Elegante. The Elegante has been sold and is under new management. It is now called the ALTA Hotel. It is still in operation as a hotel as they begin the long process of converting over to affordable housing. We have been in communication with the Hotel’s staff concerning this new change and what it will mean for our event. I want to assure everyone that the ALTA Hotel will be our Host Hotel for our 2022 RMMR. They will honor our contract and have lowered the room pricing to $99 per night. Breakfast will NOT be included in your room reservation for any RMMR participants staying at the ALTA Hotel. Our registration room will be in the same location as before and we will have full use of the Main Ballroom for our meetings and events.
Many of you had problems in early January with trying to reserve accommodations at the Hotel for our event. That issue has been fixed. There is a new phone number, that RMMR Participants should call to make your RMMR reservations and we will also post the new link to the online reservation assistant on our new RMMR Webpage.

We will still have our Autocross Driver’s Meeting in the Ballroom, as well as, our Friday Evening Social and the Saturday Night Banquet. All of these events will still go on as scheduled.
What has changed is that the Hotel’s Restaurant and Bar have been closed. We have been told that the Hotel is trying to get an independent operator to take over the Bar, so that may be open during our event. The Sweet Tooth Café is still open and operating and will be so during our event. There are many restaurant choices nearby that will be able to accommodate our event participants while staying at the Hotel. We have been told that construction and renovation noise and traffic should be at a minimum during our event. They will begin their conversion with the first 50 to 100 units located in the far North end of the Hotel. The Hotel has over 500 rooms and all of the RMMR rooms will be located in the Southern area of the Hotel.
I also want to remind our RMMR participants that we also have the Antlers Hotel as an option for anyone who would prefer to have covered parking during their stay in Colorado Springs. You can find the Antlers Hotel information on the RMMR website.
This year will be the last year that we stay at the ALTA Hotel. The ALTA Hotel will be well into their conversion in 2023 and will no longer be available as a hotel. The RMMR Committee is working to acquire a new Host Hotel venue that can accommodate our event and meet our participant’s needs.
