For those interested in the agility and handling of their Mustang, we recommend the RMMR autocross. This timed event is sure to test the handling of your Mustang and your skills as a driver. The goal is to make it through a course of traffic cones as fast as possible without hitting any.
This event takes place in a large open parking lot outside PPIR, and away from barricades and hazards. Cars go one at a time. Autocross is one of the safest and easiest ways to dip your toe into racing your car. Check out this helpful and in-depth article on what to expect at an autocross.
You can sign up to drive more than 1 registered vehicle as long as the 2nd registered vehicle is not in the same class as the 1st vehicle. Doing this will allow the driver to only be eligible for a trophy when driving the 1st registered vehicle.
All that have registered to participate in the AutoCross will need to check in with registration and pick up their packets. Included in the packets will be your car number that will need to be placed on the vehicle running in the AutoCross.
The AutoCross will be held at the “outside west parking lot” at PPIR. The limit is 150 drivers. Each driver will complete a maximum of four (4) timed runs. SCCA safety regulations will be enforced. Helmets will be required on the course for every driver and passenger (Snell 2000 or newer).
Autocross participants must bring their AX Confirmations (to be emailed May 2025) and turn in their completed Technical Inspection Form before participating in the AX. There will be no additional or on-site Tech Inspections to participate in the Autocross, but all AX participants will need to download and fill out the Autocross Technical Inspection Form. Those that wish to walk the course will be allowed to do so up to start of the Driver’s Meeting (9am) at the West Lot. Autocross ACE awards will be presented at noon during the Show n’ Shine on Bennett Avenue.
